Telus International, a Canadian outsourcing company, entered the Romanian market back in 2012 through the acquisition of Call Point Call Center. Over the years, the company had a constant local expansion and at this point plans to reach a number of 1000 employees in Romania by the end of next year.
“So far, Romania has been a fantastic market for Telus! Our company came to Romania in 2012 and since then our business has grown with over 250%.When we started locally the company only had 112 employees. Currently, we have reached a number of 483 professionals working for us. Based on the business growth, it’s safe to assume that by the end of next year we will reach a number of 1,000 employees working for Telus in Romania,” – Jeffrey Puritt, President at TELUS International, declared.
There were many reasons why the company has chosen Romania as an Outsourcing destination for their business development, but the most important would be the fact that our county has a great potential in terms of foreign language literates, especially French connoisseurs that have no issue integrating and working in a globalized environment.
“Upon documenting about Romania, we came across some facts that were quite surprising at the time! We compared different countries in Europe and saw that Romania has a number of 4.7 million Romanian fluent in French ( and a total population of 22 million people ). Another major reason why we’ve chosen this location is the high number of IT professionals and engineering graduates”, Jeffrey Puritta added further.
