Eastern Europe as an outsourcing destination
The Eastern European market gives a lot of opportunities for IT outsourcing, especially for companies in Western Europe and the Middle East. There are a few reasons to choose Eastern Europe for outsourcing:
- Cultural similarities – employees tend to take a more collaborative and less process-driven approach to projects;
- High skilled labor – the countries under the influence of the Soviet Union have developed a strong educational emphasis on engineering and sciences, which has led to highly skilled workforce;
- Time difference – easier to communicate within working hours.
The trend to outsource in Eastern Europe will continue in 2013, but new destinations will appear along with the popular ones including Bulgaria and Poland. Romania has become the country with the highest growth of IT specialists, closely followed by Ukraine. Moscow, Budapest and Chisinau will become other popular IT cities.
